CT Imaging of Hepatic Arteries

چکیده
The reason why the water in wells becomes colder in summer is that the earth is then rarefied by the heat, and releases into the air all the heat-particles it happens to have. So, the more the earth is drained of heat, the colder becomes the moisture that is concealed in the ground. On the other hand, when all the earth condenses and contracts and congeals with the cold, then, of course, as it contracts, it squeezes out into the wells whatever heat it holds. Lucretius, poet (99 B.C.-55 B.C.) Rome

Bone imaging demonstration of osseous lesions and hepatic uptake: Amyloid and renal dialysis effect
A 64-year-old woman, with amyloid related kidney failure (On renal dialysis) had a bone scan because of pain in the right upper femur. The 99m Tc-MDP images revealed marked hepatic uptake. In addition, there was right proximal femoral concentration of radiotracer, which corresponded to a fracture site. As an added finding, the same femor demonstrated circumferential uptake at the lower po...
متن کاملF-18 FDG PET/CT imaging of primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumor
Primary hepatic neuroendocrine tumors (PHNETs) are extremely rare neoplasms. Herein, we report a case of a 70-year-old man with a hepatic mass. The non-contrast computed tomography (CT) image showed a low-density mass, and dynamic CT images indicated the enhancement of the mass in the arterial phase and early washout in the late phase. F18- fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) positron emission tomogra...
متن کاملSystemic atherosclerotic plaque vulnerability in patients with Coronary Artery Disease with a single Whole Body [FDG]PET-CT scan
Objective(s): Cardiovascular disease is a leading cause of morbimortality with over half cardiovascular events occurring in the asymptomatic population by traditional risk stratification. This preliminary study aimed to evaluate systemic plaque vulnerability in patients with prior Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) with a single Whole Body [FDG] PET-CT scan in terms of plaq...
متن کاملMapping of hepatic vascular anatomy: dynamic contrast-enhanced parallel MR imaging compared with 64 detector row CT.
UNLABELLED The study was approved by the institutional review board, and informed consent was obtained from all patients. The purpose of this study was to retrospectively evaluate the feasibility, reliability, and accuracy of breath-hold dynamic contrast material-enhanced parallel gradient-echo (GRE) magnetic resonance (MR) imaging for mapping the hepatic vascular anatomy, with contrast-enhance...
متن کاملTracking Navigation Imaging of Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Hepatocellular Carcinoma Using Three-Dimensional Cone-Beam CT Angiography.
PURPOSE New tracking navigation imaging software was used to evaluate the usefulness of three dimensional (3D) CT angiography for transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). MATERIALS AND METHODS Fifty-two patients with 73 HCCs were enrolled in this study retrospectively. Rotational angiography was performed from the hepatic artery for eval...
متن کاملDYNA CT arteriographic evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma for treatment by trans-catheter arterial chemoembolization.
PURPOSE The aim of our study was to determine whether using C-arm CT (DYNA CT) during hepatic arteriography imaging assists in TACE treatment. MATERIALS AND METHODS 138 patients with HCC, 69 patients (Group A) underwent DYNA CT and routine digital subtraction angiography (DSA), while another 69 patients (Group B) underwent only DSA, were prospectively studied at a single facility between May ...
